Goodhue Wind Submits Testimony to Administrative Law Judge

Minneapolis, MN – February 7, 2011:  AWA Goodhue, LLC, filed testimony recently with the Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings regarding the possible impacts of a recent Goodhue County zoning ordinance as applied to a 78 megawatt wind farm the company has under development in Belle Creek and Minneola townships. The county ordinance requires, among other things, that wind developers site turbines no less than ten rotor diameters, or 2,707 feet in this instance, from residences that are not participating in a project. 



Goodhue Wind Project Takes Giant Step Forward in Permitting Process

St. Paul, MN, April 20th, 2010 - On April 15th, the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (MPUC) unanimously confirmed the Goodhue Wind Project as a Community-Based Energy Development (C-BED) project, issued a draft site permit and accepted Xcel Energy’s request to approve the project’s Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). Most importantly the MPUC denied a request for contested case status from a group that opposes wind development in Goodhue County.



Goodhue Wind LLC to Develop 78 MW of Community-Based Wind Energy in Goodhue County, Minnesota

Goodhue, Minnesota – October 28, 2008 – National Wind LLC announces today the formation of Goodhue Wind LLC, a community wind development company in Goodhue County, Minnesota. National Wind, the project’s manager, helped capitalize Goodhue Wind alongside local Goodhue County investors. Goodhue Wind intends to develop a 78 megawatt (MW) wind farm, which will supply clean, renewable energy to Midwestern utilities and ultimately to Midwestern homes and businesses.

An Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) issued recommendations and findings of fact that are consistent with the Goodhue Wind site permit application to the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission.  The ALJ reviewed detailed testimony and a 3-day hearing before issuing her findings.
